Well, i've been having problems with it and i'm tired of working on it so i'm just going to take it somewhere and have some "extra" work done on it haha I'm considering the LSD and a pair of street slicks as I don't even get traction now when I go WOT. But on with the car, I'm getting the upgrade from a S200 to the S300- that's 400 dollars alone. Plus just getting diagnostics ran on the car- another 300 probably, looking into a crower stroker kit(not sure which one is worth it....input would be nice haha) but with the kit, I may need it bored and sleeved and all that stuff. Then getting a final tune.......Total of now- easily $4000+. Awesome haha

Well they said it was going to be 110 per hour- and guessed 2 or 3 hours. That's why i put that figure out there for diags. And I've posted multiple forms and get things like it may be the computer, or need a good tune up, something internal, boost leak, etc.
I was told when I bought the car that it ran 249 hp on the dyno but there is no sheet saying what it really is. What I would like is 300-350. The thing about putting a stroker kit in though is I can up the boost a little bit more. As far as a stroker kit goes, everything that comes with it, what else would I need to do internally for boost, and also to be on the safe side? |

get good crank bearings, if you dont have a high flow oil pump i'de do that. While the engine is apart, if it hasn't been sleeved then i would highly recommend doing this.
Just tell who-ever is building your block what you want your motor to handle, and they will tell you what you need to do to make it be able to handle what u want |

the B18C (JDM) had optional LSD ------------------- (( S80/Y80 ))
the B18C (JDM Type-R) had optional LSD ------------------- (( S80 )) the B18C5 LSD equipped -------------------- (( S80 )) the B18C1 Did not come with optional LSD ---- (( Y80 )) Keep in mind there are two ways to determine if the transmission has LSD. You can either look into the input shaft on the transmission and look into the Differential. If its hollow (you can see through) then it has LSD. If you cannot see through (blocked by the spider gears) then is does not have LSD. All the transmissions that came with LSD (stock) will be stamped on the housing. Keep in note the best way to check, is to visually inspect or see a picture (if purchasing online). Dont fall for the "Its a GSR, it HAS LSD" because thats not always true, unless its a B18c5, then Yes it always will have LSD. Hope this helps, ~MP |
