Can anyone give me a hint as to how to remove the clock on a 2003 odyssey, it seems the light behind the clock has isn't functioning.

Yes it's still under warranty. I never thought the bulb behind the clock would be a warranty item ?

It was moved to the van / suv section since the oddysey is a van.

The light may be under warranty because it shouldn't go out that soon

threads are moved into the section that fits them best just to make the site less confusing.

The thread being moved doesn't mean anything bad. Just that the moderators feel it will recieve more useful views in a different forum.

Try your Honda dealer first, It should be covered. If not we will help you out from there, but when removing plastic panels it's very easy no mess something up.

I had the problem too on my 2003 Odyssey.
If ist a warranty issue you should be all good.

If your dealer gives you any trouble (as I had)... Follow th instructions below.
I think the LED from Honda was $3.00? at a HONDA parts counter. The dealer (unnamed) wanted 1.0 Hour Labour ( $87.50!!)

Not Easy to access but you would be amazed how simple it is. (<20 Min.)
1 ) You need to remove the Black panel covering the Radio and climate controls.
If you have an LX, you need to remove the 'Dials' from the climate controls and using a small slot head screw drive pry/ "pop" the Lighting control switch from a side access.
NOTE: Try using a soft cloth wrapped around the head of the screw driver first so you do not damage the edge of the lighting switch.

2) Apply the parking brake, turn ignition to ON so you can move the transmission all the way down to the D3 position( so you can easily pull the panel off.

3) starting from the side near the driver steering wheel pull the clips off gently from the entire Black panel. 24" or so... pull the whole panel off,just a little [2-3"]. Once off ,turn the whole panel clockwise so you can see the screws 4 mounting the upper air vent and clock panel. This extends all the way to the Dashboard area where there are 2 more screws mounted into the top are of the dash.

4) once removed, you will be able to again pull gently on the uper panel and pry/"pop" the clips arount the Vent/clock panel enough to acces the right hand side of the clock.

5) carefully using a stubby Phillips screwdriver, you can turn the small black plastic screw in the back of the clock to remove the LED. Careful here not to drop it.

Once this is off, the repacement is really straightforward. The LED only fits 1 way if i remember correctly. replace the bulb and reverse the procedures to remove the panels. You are done!
