Default Replace outside mirror

How do you remove/replace the rear view mirror glass on the exterior passenger side? 2002 CRV.

Thanks

Jim

This is tricky. On manual mirror cars, ou just stick a screwdriver behind the glass and pry it out. Sometimes this work on power mirrors. However, usually you have to remove the mirror from the car and there is some other way that varies with how the mirror was designed. Why do you need to remove the mirror?

Default Outside mirror

I need to replace the glass since it is broken. Do you know how the glass is attached to the drive mechanism? If I have to take off the whole mirror assembly, do I have to disassemble the plastic trim on the inside door post?

Thanks,
Jim

Yes, the glass is connected to the motor, and like I said, it's different for every car. And if you have to remove the mirror, you will have to remove some interior trim. Here's what I would do: Go to the Honda dealer, go to the parts desk, and ask for an exploded view of the mirror. This will show you how it attaches. Someone there might even be nice enough to tell you how to do it.

Hi there my car mirror needs replacement. I want to do it myself. Is there any guide on how to do it? Thanks a lot. By the way my car is a 95 accord. Thanks!
