Default Lowering 1997 Odyssey

Anyone know of a good source for lowering springs for the 1997 Odyssey? It seems lowering kits are few and far between on these. I found a couple, but thought I'd get some more opinions before I jump at anything.

I was hoping they were the same springs basically as my 1994 Accord, because I have a spare set of Eibachs that I'd like to put to use. I'd rather not heat or cut the factory springs, but also don't want to spend $400-600 on this thing. I put enough into my Accord, the van is just a new cheap daily driver that I want to look a little better overall.

Thanks for any input you have.

I don't think the Accord springs would be strong enough for the Odyssey.. The suspension is not something that I would go cheap on for any car. It can make the car ride like crap also make the tires wear a lot faster if your not careful.

I'm not sure how much heavier the van is, but it's got to be a little bit since it has the third row and a little more metal and glass. It could be an advantage in the end, by lowering it slightly more than normal though.

I figured since the old odysseys are based on the accord chassis, I might get lucky. The eibachs are so darn stiff anyway, it might be ok with the extra weight, but I have a feeling they aren't the same (it wouldn't be right if I had anything go my way like that).

Hopefully someone can point me to a good source for some springs though. I only found a set of H&R sport springs for $341, or a set of Tein adjustable coilovers for $608, both of which seem a bit high for this particular project. I guess I've become cheap in my growing years.

Those honestly aren't that bad prices for those. I know coilovers can cost you over $1000 sometimes.

Yeah, eBay was one of the first places I looked, along with a google search. I expected TONS of options for this 1st gen Ody, but didn't find nearly as much as I hoped for. Nothing on eBay right now for springs unfortunately. I might have to splurge and get the H&R set for $350, but I hoped to find something for less money since this is a "spare" vehicle basically.

The hunt continues.

Yep, I can wait a bit. It would be nice to do it sooner, but I can keep looking until something pops up. I might experiment with my Eibachs just to see what they do. They're just sitting here doing nothing anyway.
