Yeah, I do all my own work, and have lowered hundreds of cars at this point. Some the right way, some the not so right way (cutting or heating factory coils).

I might poke around under my Ody over the weekend and take some measurements and see what I can get to fit in there. I'd much rather buy a set of springs ready to go of course, but if I can make these work without any major problem, I might. I may have to go pick up another set of factory springs and just cut them, at least for now. lol

Will keep everyone posted either way. Maybe I'll get lucky and someone will have some springs to part with soon though, or I'll come up with the funds for a set of H&R's or maybe even the Tein coilovers. That'd be nice. Going to play me some lotto now!

I prefer not to make it ride like a brick, or handle in an extremely adverse way. I have cut a lot of springs in my day, and heated a lot, and honestly almost every time it has been fine, and has still had a good ride, but I prefer a slightly sportier ride that you get from aftermarket springs usually. My Eibachs were a little stiff, but made the Accord handle pretty nicely, but didn't lower it enough for my taste, so they are now sitting in a box in my garage.

What size drop is it? If you think about it if its a 1.5 you will probably get 3 out of it due to the extra weight.

That's a good point PrimeTimeV6. It may actually work to my advantage (or not). Only one way to find out... Maybe this weekend if I can clear some other work out of the way first.

I would try if I were you. You do your own work so I would swap it out. Let them settle for a day or 2 and see where you stand. If you think your too low you can always cut one coil out at a time on the stock springs.
