Default CRV needs more power

So my wife and I have a 97 CR-V...has the 4 banger in it, and man, does it need more power...it struggles going up a hill. Any suggestions for cheap power?

Those little CR-V's just don't have a whole lot of get up and go, do they? Some people say that K+N Filters increase power on their vehicles. I've never heard anyone say about the CR-V, and I don't really know if they make those filters for the CR-V, but it might be worth looking into.

now and days you could find a filter anything . i would suggest you should flush the motor , do an oil change , change the oil filter , check air pressure . or you can go with a gsr B18 vtec Head .

On my wifes 01 CRV I put ground wire kit switched it to AMS 5/w20 with a Moible one oil filter. I put in NGK irridium plugs. Removed the silencer on top of the engine and then I put a K&N drop in and took all of the intake silencer stuff that was inside the bumper out. I can sqeek all four off the line and hills are nothing
