Okay, so as an update on the clutch issue -- apparently its okay.
I have never had to break in a clutch before like this, but apparently thats what it needed. Up until about 7k I couldnt even squeal the tires launching first without the clutch slipping out and smelling burnt clutch (did 2 4k launches and a 5k). As a result the car was pretty slow on acceleration because I had to start out at 2-3k. Im not sure whether this was the electronic slip or issues with break-in, however, now I dont have a problem dropping it off of first at 4-5 grand (not a heavy dump but slow clutch transition) and chirp it up to third. Time seemed to have resolved this issue.
The clutch is fine and is showing no issues of wear/needing replacement eventhough others have had to replace as soon as 15k. The car performed very well off the line at the last auto x and Im happy to say we broke a number of ear drums in the process.
