Angry Scratched it on my first drive

So I finally talk my dad into letting me drive the s2k by myself, and leaving the driveway of the house I was visiting I hear a scraping sound . I had to keep from swearing because I was sitting with the top down and a client 10 feet away.

Anyways it looks like the bottom of the front bumper and that metal plate thing (diffuser ) are scratched up, is there anything I can do about it or should I just live with it .

btw, its still riding at stock height

You will have to replace it. Look into a OEM front bumper (the extention) but it isn't cheap and I'm not sure it covers the whole front on the AP2. I think everyone has scraped the front clip, it's not uncommon. Mine is horrible.

Yes, it is very common for people to have that front plate scratched. How bad is it? If its minor, I wouldn't worry about it too much because even if you replace it, its bound to get some more scratches later on.

its just a few light scratches on the plate, most of it is a row of small scratches on the bumper.

at least it dosen't stand out like the front of the bumper, it is now potmarked with white dots because the s2k hood is so long (my dad has no depth perception)

what I'm worried about is that right in front of it in the garage is a wheelbarrow standing up on the wheel, and if he ever hits that...

As much as I really don't wanna say it, it's just a car. It is a very beautiful car but still just a car. If he does end up messing it up pretty bad then you will be in some trouble but front clip scratchs are nothing to worry about.

WHAT? When did this happen

I was mostly worried about the diffuser, as long as it dosen't leak fluid I think I'll be fine

Diffuser?

The diffuser (one of them on the S2000) is the bottem part that is black unpainted plastic underneath inbetween the fender liners. Another diffuser is the weird looking corners in AP1 head lights. I don't know what your refering to that would leak fluid but with a bumpers scrape as minor as yours sounds I say you are safe.
