What do you think the next s2000 should be like?
I think it should contine to be a 2 seater, rwd, 6-speed manual with clutch, but, I think good additions would be: An adjustable steering wheel, so taller people can see the tach A hardtop because it reduces drag, but only if it dosen't add to much weight A 4 cylinder engine, NA, 2.4L, with VTEC (not i-VTEC) and a 10k redline, that has a similar power curve to the 2.2L, and maybe 260hp, and 200 ft-lbs of torque As far as design, a cross between this: ![]() and this: ![]()

a factory 10k redline would be nice but i don't think they would do that for saftey reasons plus insurrance would be even more on these as well. I do like the tilt and i think they should do away with the electronic controled throttle.

The S2000 is Hondas sports car. Can't have a hard top sports car. Honda and many other companies offer a HT. It would be very difficult to get a 2.4L to rev into the mid 8,000's with the compression S2000s make to I think a 10,000 redline is out. Why do you wanna rev that high anyways? Its hard to make power with that many RPMs and the internals would be very expensive to replace. I think if you cross a Lotus and a S it would be horrid ugly. They should change the bumpers again and maybe the wheels and remove the drive by wire and leave it.

good, points, 8k is enough, and so is 2.2L, and although I think both the lotus and the S are beautiful cars, it would be hard to combine them. I've never driven a drive by wire s2k, but the accord is, and it seems very touchy, especially from a stop.
Anyways, if they do a hardtop convertable, not an all out hardtop, it might work. Maybe they could build one with each wheel having a cbr1000rr engine ![]()
