I was going to ask that same question beaters, but I didn't know where people where going with this, BUT I guess if you really really wanted to i guess you could make it work. It's not something I would recommend, but hey, there are stranger things in this world. . . . i guess. . .

Well if the bores line up, it could be done. However my question would still be why would you want an older head? The only other Honda head (or any mass produced head for that matter) that out flows the K20 head is the F20C head. Why would you give up that gain?

Type R (1997) head will NOT fit on a K series. Mechanical engineering degree might help make it fit, but i've yet to see someone who has/can do it. Perhaps you have heard of someone putting a type R head (JDM 02 or newer) on a K series which makes sense because those are K series as well.
I have been digging around about this combo because I too am looking forward to doing it. The only difference is that I hope to be around 250-300 whp N/A. Once the rex is gone, the plan is this: 02-04 RSX-S I already have the TSX lower end (all but head) just going to use the K20 head type S tranny Kpro (I understand from many forums that it is required) JDM Type R wing suspension, suspension, suspension. I understand that this the RSX's weak spot. Tein full adjustable all around I also hear that you need to change one of the mounts for the K24 to fit Header Intake custom cowl hood Anyone who has done this, please let me know if I'm wrong with anything. Again, I'm coming from the EF/EE/ED world and have never owned any Honda newer than that besides my Pilot. haha Thanks!

Skip the RSX, slip that sumbitch in a DC Integra. You'll also need a blockoff plate and accessories (I think most everything comes off the K24, but I don't remember). And make sure you use a Type-S head (or a JDM Type-R head since you have connections), or the VTEC will suck.
If you're dead set on the RSX, you'll need to do a tiny bit of frame stiffening and then coilovers, tires, sway bars, LSD, and a good alignment.

Well it depends on what you think is easier...mechanical or electrical engineering. The DC and CRX are easier to make handle, but you need to wire the engine to work. The RSX needs more to handle, but the engine plugs right in.
You might be able to get away with a reflashed ECU. Do some research first, since every magazine did their K20/24 hybrids three years ago. Then they only had the K-Pro, but I'm sure someone's cracked the ECU by now.
