Alright, so i'm looking for a DVD/Navigation system for my car. I was really hoping to find a double din 6.5" - 7" screen (i like that flush look). But everywhere i look, i run in to snags. I talked with Crutchfield and they were set on the fact that it was only a Single Din stereo, and thats all that would fit. I explained to them that I had the "type S" with the Bose system on board, but i guess that didn't matter because they were still sticking to it's a single din.
When it comes to this car stereo stuff, i'm lost! Does anyone know of a place that can help out with finding an Double din install kit and a good system to put in there? Thanks y'all |

Check crutchfields website for the audio compatibility, if you havent already.
When you work at BestBuy, Futureshop, and many other audio places - they all refer to Cruthfield for info, CF knows their ****. |

I've already talked to CF, they keep telling me that it's just a single DIN. I just don't see how that is. If i remove that Stock stereo that is a HUGE hole to fill and a Single Din isn't big enough to fill it, unless i buy their install kit, not interested in having a cubby hole under my system. besides the DVD players that are single din all have that flip up screen and i'm not a big fan

Yeah, I don't think i'll be making my way back out to LA for a long time. Last time I was there i was visiting friends when i was stationed at Ft. Bliss, but I don't know when I'll be eading back out that way, but i'll jot the info down and save it just incase i do head out there..
Thanks |
