The new Civic si and the RSX are, with the exception of the interior and slightly different body style, the same car. Both have the K20 engine, make around 200 horsepower, and have Limited Slip Differentials (RSX 05 and up) I have a 2000 Prelude Type SH and my dad has the new Civic Si both of which I drive frequently and the Civic is fun to drive, but it doesn't compare to the Prelude when it comes to handling. The Civic, however, is a bit faster in a straight line on flat ground. But as other people have said, the RSX is discontinued as of this year. So really when it comes down to it, if you can afford the RSX, it has better features with the same power and handling as the Civic Si or getting another Prelude would be good too but good ones are hard to find now.

^ i agree with freedom all the way. it would be alot cheaper to do an engine swap than it would be to buy an si or rsx. dont loose the lude cause of miles.

I agree with "Eyesoffreedom", if its miles just buy a spare h22 and mod it until its ready of your old one goes, but if you get a new car get the RSX type-s.

Now that you know about doing a swap I think I should mention that comparing the NSX to the Prelude, or any other Honda/Acura is apples and oranges.

Prelude is a heavy car, FWD.
NSX is a aluminum chassis Mid-engine RWD V6. It's a super car, one of the greatest at turing. If you have money and want something fast the NSX is the way to go if sticking with Honda. If you don't want a car that is a straight money pit then go with something else.

I doubt that they will ever bring the prelude back =( I have a 97 sh and I love her to death! I did see a prelude wagon at a show once. looked like a prelude with a dodge magnum rear hatch style. that would be interesting to see honda start producing!
