Default I need some advice!!!!!!!

Okay i have been taking care of my kids and havent really been "In the Loop" as far as up to date newer and better parts of the 21 century ... LOL
N-E-Ways I know back in the day the H22 was the top of the line motor ou could swap into a 1991 prelude.... Is this still the case or is there a newer model... Please any comments would be great ... My B21a1 has been good but i wont to start upgrading intake , headers, ect... and i want them to to be installed on a more powerful engine. Right now I am working on Shocks, sturts and springs..... BUT i am Pricing Engines right now thats why i ask ....

Question Recap... LOL
H22???? <---- Is there a better engine out there for the 1991 ...
What have you swap and how do you like the end result???

Thanks

H22 is big and heavy. The K20A2 from the RSX-S has lots of high-rpm goodness and will fit in really nice. The K20Z from the new Civic Si is mostly the same, with the major exception of an LSD. Both are 6-speeds. The K24 from the TSX would probably be the best bet, since it has the most displacement of the group and can also rev nice and high. A K20 head on a K24 block is a good recipe for power. Or, it you are really lucky, you can find a wrecked RDX and nab the K23 with turbo. Unfortunately, it only comes in auto and since it only comes in an SUV, there's not a lot of aftermarket support.

The K-series is Honda's new super FWD four banger. Plenty of rpm and great quality. Unfortunately, your Prelude is nearly 20 years old, so making one of them fit will be a huge hassle, including lots of work for fueling, mounting, wiring, cooling, and drivetrain. There's lots of info on how to swap any K into an Integra or Civic, but not so much on a Prelude (Probably becuase they are more expensive and heavier than the Civic/Integra). If you go ahead and do a K swap, be ready for LOTS of fabrication.

I guess it also depends on how deep your pockets are. I am one for the H22A1. It may have a little weight on it but its cheaper and You can get plenty of power out of it. I am also a B series fan. I think the K series motors have too much computer control. Just my own opinion.

The Ks do have more computer control, but then again, you can't beat the power. And finding a K23 is going to be really damn hard, and like I said, it's going to be an auto. A K24 will be just as good and much easier to find. Or you could try finidng a V6. The Accord Coupe came with one and a six-speed stick. I think it would fit into the Prelude too. It's an odd swap, but you'll have more torque than any K (except the K23) and plenty of room fro more power.

Please get the word out there the front is gone .. radiator pushed into the engine (its an auto) the shifter is sitting at a 45 degree angle towards the passengers seat. (More Tears) i dont have a place to let this car just sit for years before i can repair it so i want to sell it ... All together or just parts of it...besides the front and engine the rest is in perfect condition ...

Oh, that's too bad. I've been there (twice), I feel for you.

Man,I would lie down for a week or so!!I love my Lude!!I raced a 2008 Nissan Twin Turbo 350z today. We were doing well over 140mph.Mine only registers 140 but after he found out that he could not out run me(on Interstate) he stopped and I did as well.We talked for an hour about the race.He said that we hit 165mph at one point!!That blew me away!!I have a Honda Prelude 1992 with quite a bit of tweaks I like to call them.Anyhow, this guy had just bought the Z car and was driving home up until he ran into me!!That was fun.I did have to rub it in a little bit!!would'nt you?
