Ouch. Time for new seals.
Got a quick question: Did your cold pipe already have the BOV mount attached? I want to move my BOV on my Silvia to the cold pipe (and move the MAF after the BOV), but I don't have a welder (and have never welded aluminum).

That sucks dude. Something similar was happening to my friends car. And it caused alot of issues. I talked to someone knowledgable with turbo builds and stuff and he said that it boiled down to the blow off valve (later he bent a rod). I don't member if he said it was letting to much out or not enough.. I can talk to him Weds

My turboed Mitsubishi that I had 4 years ago had the same turbo and the same problem not as bad but vary similar. These turbos don't like to sit without oil in them for long. The seals get hard and crack. My Mitsubishi sat for 2 years before I bought it and got it running, only thing wrong was the fusible link on the battery burned up. After it started it smoked really bad I removed the turbo had it rebuild and it was fine after that.

I trimmed a bit of the bumper
I put the front back on my crx and rolled it out of the garage to clean the garage. Just waiting for my new TD05 to be delivered, then a little bit more work and it will be done. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Also traded a set of black projector headlights for these!!! Front mud guards(just zip tied on right now)![]() |
