I did it because I'm to broke for a real paint job right now and I still have alot of body work that needs to be done. After all that it will be striped and painted the right way.

Are you referring to my Lemon too? I bought the car like that. It looks terrible too. The last owner was a real loser and was putting in a new audio system. He almost sounded upset when we told him what we are going to do with it. Idiot. The car's a pile of junk.

I think the answer you are looking for is here: http://www.sportcompactcarweb.com/pr...via/index.html

I think Dave Coleman was one of the first to really make the flat black work well. Now everyone does it because they think it looks cool and because they are cheap. But most people don't do it right. Coleman did it right. It's so overdone now that I would never want another car to look like that.

The main reason I flat blacked it was the previous owner spray painted the entire car blue and white. Plus the fenders were crushed and I replaced them. I would rather drive a flat black car than a mis matched color car.

Did you ever see the pics of my last Integra? Red, black, green, silver, primer, rust. I called it the crayola car. That car is history once the Sil-Eighty is out of the shop.

It would be fake, but I love JDM and even if your cars converted to RHD i think it looks better and more ture JDM then LHD. Sure I'd love to buy an original JDM RHD car, but converted works just as good for me. In my expierence Ricers like to put HUGE dumb looking kits and spoilers on thier cars that make it look ridiculous and think their cars fast or the best car ever when in reality it's JUNK! But as you said to each his own.

Read my article on Rive Vs. Race. Then you will see where I'm coming from.

I agree, RHD does look cool. But it's not as impressive when it's been converted. Take a look at British cars: they were built in the RHD market, but plenty of them are LHD. And the owenrs don't go swapping to RHD when they don't have it.

I honestly think the JDM fad is really stupid. Every single Integra, Civic, and CRX have been built in Japan. Some were sold in America, but all were built in Japan. The guys who can rattle off what dumb JDM parts they have bore me to tears. The only JDM parts I care about are the ones that make you faster. My Sil-Eighty has a JDM SR20DET. That is impressive. It has the Silvia front end which saves nearly 40 pounds and is more aerodynamic. That is cool.

The only thing on my car thats JDM is the side markers and they were free and look 100% better than any autozone ones. I like my car to be as visible as posable at night thats why I installed them.

Free? Any free part is a good part. As long as it works.
