Short answer...
Spend $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Actually go to Japan and buy one, ship it over here and then have it modded up for USDM legal issues and have it certified and your good to go. BTW, it will be impounded until all work is done and all paperwork is finished! (Thought about importing a skyline when I got a large settlement check 3 yrs ago!)

omg thats sooo sweet, I think I am gonna move to japan, I mean its "only" 38k, I am sure if I work everyday for the rest of my life I could make a few payments on it lol

you could always get a new si and mod the hell out of it and void your warrenty to make it a type-r prolly have to drop another motor in it or sumthin but i think it would be worth it if ur really that much into it.. ive thought about getting an integra and making it a honda integra type-r..aka i dont like the new civics but i love that type-r it look sso much different sux they arent sold in usa....
