Default Paint my grille?

Last month I installed a grillecraft grille in my 02 Civic EX.

The more I look at it...the more I think I want to paint it black. Now I am planning on replacing the chrome trim with a factory paint matched piece until I decide on a carbon fiber hood or not.

So my question is this...

Look at my garage and at the site below.

Let me know what you think...

Paint it black???

or leave it silver???

Ship 'er to me and you could have Carbon Fiber! Or how about Silver Carbon Fiber?

It's apprx $.80 a square inch to do for ya. That includes paint/material and labor.

I'd leave it silver... it goes pretty nice with the rims like that. Not to mention the intake when you are looking into the engine bay. But all in all do what you want to do with it.

I didnt think about that...the engine perspective.

I was planning on black-ing out the exterior except for the lips on the rims. I am going to replace the chrome trim on the hood and trunk. I thought that the silver on the rims and in the lights was going to be just enough...

As you can see I decided to paint the grill black. I also cut out the two lower corners of the grille. One on the passenger side for the intake and the driver side to just balance things out!

I like the results!

Default Another modification!

I was bored today and decided to go ahead and paint the chrome trim piece with the remaining duplicolor paint I had.

If the car had been washed first the pic would show how the color does actually match...sometimes I surprise myself with blond moments! It was quite easy actually to remove the trim piece to paint it!

But here is the result...I like it even more than the one above!
