ok so I have gotten some of the most rediculous tickets recently. Modified exhaust, unlawful use of horn, and the cop also wanted to give me one for being to low my team sticker on my back window for ubstructing my view. Some cops are just dumb I am beginning to think he didn't like me or my car

I guess if your exhaust is over 95db they can ticket you, but it usually is too hard to prove in court.

If the bottom of the car is above the bottom of the rims it should be legal

The sticker one is just bs

Sound ordinance is 50 feet away. So when I'm in VTEC I'm braking 3 laws all at once. (speeding, sound, agressive accel)

In the U.S.

Actually most states have noise ordinance laws, but due to lack of actually availability of decibel measuring equipment...it is usually enforced by ear...or not at all. So you can kind of get away with 96, 97 db, but when your hitting 110db look out!

ok cause i know that here in MN we have some law like that but its only in effect from midnight to six a.m.

Some of the sound laws on exhaust are rediculous.

Although at the high school there is a civic where you can hear the thing litterally from 4-6 blocks away. There are also some other cars with annoying exhausts.

I like sporty exhausts, but some are just too loud

The wierd part is that there are about 5 police on campus at the end of the day, and they just don't care.

When dealing with mass amounts of kids and low amounts of security they have much more to worry about that sound ordinance.
