Something like what you all were talking about happened to my family and I while we were driving back to Jersey from Florida.
We were getting close to the S.C/N.C boarder, about 25 miles south of "south of the boarder" and I was in the crusing lane, came up behind a beat up truck on the road that was throwing up rocks. I dropped from 6th, to 4th and went into the passing lane to get around them. There was only another car on the road behind me, but apparently I must have pissed him off. They slammed on the gas and tried to stay up with me I was able to put a car length or two between us and they moved right behind me in the passing lane. I wasn't trying to speed all out crazy like because I did have my family in the car aswell, but this guy kept coming and coming. There two dudes in the back of the truck yelling something and from my mirror it looked like they were trying to throw stuff (what i don't know) so I again jumped on it. I was about 100mph and still they were trying to gain on me. I looked at my wife and said, well. . if i get stopped i'm going to jail, and I just jumped on the gas for all that it was worth. I got to about 120, and no they were keeping up. The closer I got to "South of the Boarder" i let off the gas, slowed 'er down and then turned in. Luckly I had my wife write down the plate number and we were able to call the police. I don't know what happened to those people, but they were freakin' me out. No way i was just going to get out of my car at highway speeds. . . lol. . |

We have the same problem here in Chi town. Im from Texas and you dont do that kind of crap there because you'll get shot. A buddy of mine gave some guy the finger in Texas and got a bullet in his trunk.
In Chicago, everyone runs their mouth. If someone gets out of their car and you dont have a weapon show them what VTEC is all about. ![]() ![]()

they were in some chevy truck, I know 100mph seems to be pushing the limits on their truck, but they kept up at about 100, but as i passed 100 and kept going faster they were quickly falling behind. I have no idea what their problem was. At time time I had (and still do; except the front [thanks NJ]) limo tint in the back three windows, and a little bit lighter in the front two. My sun roof was closed so i'm sure it was kind of hard for them to make out anything inside the car. I just wanted to get around them because their truck was picking up and throwing out rocks. . . can't really blame me for that one right? Also at the time I had TX tags on the car, so i'm sure it wasn't a "north/south" thing (which i've actually seen before, really childish if ya ask me). . . .I just don't get a lot of people on the road. . . .

sorry if it was a little confusing. . . .yes it was the truck i was trying to pass that turned into the pain in the rear. I don't think I really can be blamed for not wanting to get the front end of my car scrached up because they were picking up rocks and throwing them out with their tires. I understand it wasn't the drivers fault, but what they did when i was passing as my story stated is totally drivers fault!
sometimes just have to ask yourself. . ..why? |
