To become a moderator:
Every now and then, there will be an opening for a new moderator position (due to one of the existing moderators being unable to visit the site on a regular basis). We usually contact one of our active members and offer him or her a position as a moderator. If the member accepts, we upgrade his/her account to moderator (which basically adds a bunch of permissions to allow the person to moderate the site and gives the member a cool looking badge next to their avatar). The position is purely voluntary. We look for members who actively makes posts, actively starts new topic discussions, visits the site daily, provides good information in their posts, demonstrates a good knowledge of cars so that they can answer member questions, and most importantly is a friendly, helpful, level-headed person (as seen in their previous posts). There are a few members that fit this criteria right now. We also tend to choose moderators who have already made several hundred posts. To become a contributor: You need to write an article and submit it to this thread: http://www.hondaclub.com/forum/articles/ One of our mods will review the article, if it gets approved, you'll get contributor badge and a few other upgrades in your user control panel. |
