Yeah that sucks Im sorry to hear that!

You could get a lawyer to write a letter to them for a few bills and that will probably scare their pants off enough to do whatever you ask.

your probably right. As of right now, i'm going to see how the BBB puts the pressure on. If all else fails with the BBB, and they can't get them to do what needs to be done, the rep that i e-mailed me in return said that the status of that business would be suspended and they would put warnings to future and current patrons of that establishment.
my guess they had some young guy in there (16-20 yoa) and he thought it'd be a GRAND idea. . . . . THANKS Buddy!
maybe in the long run he'll get fired, that would be appropriate so as long as my repairs get paid too

I know first hand what it's like to be taken by those bastards who you should be able to trust but instead are losers!!!.

I took my car in for a detail car wash, got home, my gold college graduation ring was gone!!!

went back the next morning (they were closed by the time I got home after my car wash), the manager didn't seem to concerned. I called to file a police report. NOTHING ever happened. My ring is gone forever.

i know this is just a small problem and it's the few that destroy the industries reputations, but from now on, I won't be taking my car anywhere other then the dealership. . . any washing, detailing, or whatever I'm just going to do myself. If i Have to take it some place for something else I don't be leaving that place until the car is finished. I know my father was just trying to be nice and it's not his fault, but i told him, "please don't do that again, it's not worth it. I'll just wait till i get home again to clean it out".

Is it a chain or an independant. Chains are normally really concerned about their reputation and you'll normally get better response to complaints from them. Either way, good luck with it man!

it's an independant shop. Augusta Maine is a pretty small town

Some people are stupid...just curious was this a local shop or a large chain (Ziebart, etc)? Just want to make sure I never take my car there!
