Drivers in europe are a lot more impatient then ones in the US by far! it's worse down in Italy (lived there for 10 months). if there is anything worth driving on they will take it to get around you even if you are at a red light. it's crazy driving over there, but yet some how they are rated as better drivers then drivers in the US
i lived in poland for 12 years fairly close to germany, and i agree drivers in europe are crazy but the only things i like about germany are that they have the best highways and autobahn and u have to give em that

the mandated speed on the autobhan is 130kph (78.3 mph). However it is not inforced unless you are entering a control city/town (speed cameras everywhere), in construction, or weather does not permit. it's completely normal to get on the Autobhan and go as fast as your car can, but you have to know how it all works and this is where most of the problems come in to play.
If you get into an accident on the autobhan and it is figured that you were going over 130kph then you will be fined for speeding AND the accident. usually there are 3 lanes to the road. the far left lane is the SPEED lane! if you are in this lane you'd better be going over 112mph or some angry german will start flashing his lights and honking at you, basically it's the Haul A$$ lane. the middle lane is kind of the compromise. it's faster then the posted 130kph BUT not usually as fast at the lane to it's left. the right most lane is for 130kph and lower and obviously on and off bound traffic. This lane is normally where you will see all semi trucks, busses, and large equipment vehicles. It's illegal in German for any of those vehicles to travel in the other lanes unless their limited 80kph is being blocked by another much slower vehicle, but after passing the must return to the right lane.
Germany is the only country that does not care if you speed as long as you do it safely and follow the rules. Don't try and speed anywhere else in europe though. Italy for example monitors the speed on their "Autostrada(s)" tightly, and speeding fines are very expensive (i got two going from Vicenza to Venice). France, Denmark, the Netherlands, Spain also monitor so do the right thing in those countries.

hope that helped explane a little

There are times that I'll be driving down the road with my wife and baby in the car and i'm taking it easy (mind you he's a newborn). i'll have some moron in a beat up civic, or eclipse or something they think is fast and they'll get right up on my bumper and rev their engine really high, swerve a little, fall back and do it over and over and over again. I don't get what they are trying to do, it's not like we're gonna race going down a public road with them starting behind me, and the last time i checked we aren't living in NFSU2 where you pull up behind another car and start and out run race! I don't get it, i truly don't understand what they are doing. . . . anyone else have that problem? or does anyone know what they are attemping to do?
yeah, this happens to me all the time, we were actually talking about it the other day. I think theyre just scared of getting smoked if we actually raced side by side, or afraid of being the one to get pulled over. Its usually young kids thinking that theyre cool...losers

A couple of times. And yes, unfortunately, they do think that this world is just like video game land and that they have the right to race whomever and wherever they want. Assholes.

I'm on the brink of building some pushbars for my car. Don't traed on me!!!

dude in poland we dont have many autostardes but be have kind of 3 lined highways but every lets say 200 - 600 meters theres a route crosing it and lights, however the speed limit is 80-90 km/h but guess what no one cares and everyone is going form 180 to 220 230 km/h but its dangarous as hell cuz of the roads crossing

whats worse was when i turn away, or come to a street light, the pull up along side and "giggle". I'm just sitting there thinking to my self, are these guys for real? I mean come on, just because I drive a relativly nice car does not mean that i was to RACE all the time, or on open roads for that matter. again NFSU(2) i guess is a reality world for some people. But i swear if they were messin' around like they were and hit me with my baby in the car, it would have been over and i would have been going to jail for assult!
