I've kind of had a reverse thing happen to me, This one girls car was sounding really bad when she was backing it in to a parking spot, I asked her that her car didn't sound to good and asked if she knew where is was coming from. She responding with "oh thats just the turbo in it" I shot back to her telling her I knew what a Turbo sounded like and that it wasn't it she just said "oh". Instead of her trying to make me look stupid she ended up lookin like the stupid one. She was one of those sorority girls that she knew all about cars and had daddy's money. I mean the college she goes to "USC" which we all call "university of spoiled children"

Well when I used to ride around alot I would play stupid and tell people I had a 4 banger auto that had a fart pipe and intake. That was when the body was stock. So the guys that had a little something always wanted to run me... needless to say it didn't take long before people found out I was v6 supercharged with a bottle...lmao

I loved tellin people stuff like that especially if they thought they were fast.

TnT, great story.... mainly because at the end of it all you're the "bigger person" here and you're managing to help this guy out who apparently seems to have enough passion to concoct his version of engine mods. no need to trample over someone who obviously has fecal breath... they're like children who speak fantasies, but they have great interest and great ideas!!!

I try and do my best. I know there are a lot of people (like the one in my stroy) that like cars a lot, Like how the drive, like to go fast (and not always legally). some of them, like the before mentioned person that really don't know how to make all that happen. He knows mechanics because he's a HMMWV mechanic in the army, although a Chevy 350 modified for diesel is completely different from a regular gasoline powered motor (concept is the same, operation is different). But if anyone asks I'll tell them what i know and places they can get more information. This might sound a little nerdy of me, but i have a couple "How VTEC works" videos just incase. I don't really try and "Big Brain" anyone unless they come at me with an attitude, or try and big brain me with misinformation.
