Stupid drivers

I saw 2 drivers go right through stop signs, and one through a red light today, if I hadn't learned to drive so defensively my car would need a new door by now (as well as new fender, and at least half a dozen airbags, so basically a total).

The worse seems to be the pickup truck and SUV drivers. Now, before I upset anyone here, there are a few good ones, but they are few and far between. The SUV drivers are almost never paying attention, although the one I almost attacked after she tailgated my Ninja for a few miles on her cell phone will probably pay better attention now, and they always seem to be too close. Has anyone ever seen now small those brakes are

Truck drivers just seem to be always aggressive. I had a blue truck at a busy 4 way stop just follow the white car in front of him, completely ignoring the stop sign. That and on the highways they are always flying along and not looking or signaling.


Its drivers like these that make me glad I'm in the cage.

I agree. I would also add the drivers w/ luxury cars. I was nearly hit head on when a Lexus driver pulled into the wrong side of the road when I was turning out of a neighborhood. apparently he didn't want to sit in traffic for more than 30 seconds while some school kids were crossing the street. Another day, I saw a Bimmer weaving across the road and when I pulled up beside him at a light, I saw he was typing on his Blackberry! WTF man it can wait!!! I think the luxo drivers think it doesn't matter what happens, they can afford to fix it. And truck guys think they'll be fine cuz they're bigger than everything else. And the ricers think theyre badass cuz they have a loud exahust so they weave in and out. Come to think of it, all the drivers suck. Can we get German driving laws in the States? I can think of one upside- American Autobahn!!!

yah haha but hay to me the worst drivers on the road are school kids
now I am one myself but i'm calm about driving
but when thoes kids get out of school everyone is just hitting it
and man the speed limit is like 15 MPH in our school zone but everyone is always going like 70 MPH
so if you ask me the worst are school kids

GUILTY. I'm one of those guys. Well I was. I'm in college now, and I don;t have my car here (God I miss it). But everytime I get back on the road it seems like everyone else has gotten more pissed and in more of a hurry than before. So I've calmed down a lot. But around campus, I've almost been hit a couple of times on my bike going to class. My roomate was hit by a car four days ago. He only broke a knuckle, but the girl who hit him didn't use her turn signal when she turned onto the 7-11.

You forgot the soccer moms in mini vans!.. I get cut off all the time the time by the soccer moms..Its always some 30-40s women in a hurry to get some where.. Today I saw a lady in an Odyssey weaving in and out of people in a 20 mph school zone when she was going the normal 35 mph. Then theres the blondes in the big suburbans.. Don't get me start on them, always can't judge their cars right always almost backing into things pulling into other lanes, stopping in middle of the intersection. And the biggest thing that drive me nuts it people who talk on cell phones while they are driving going 50 mph in a 35 zone cutting in and out of traffic while almost taking cars out.. People act like driving isn't a dangerous thing what so ever.. Well NEWS FLASH PEOPLE millionsof people die a year from idiots like you who don't pay attention...

Cell phones in general are a bad thing. Studies have show that talking on any cellphone (hands free included) is worse than driving drunk. and cellphones are easy to fix: just hang up. Text messaging is even worse. Your hands and mind are occupied and your eyes are off the road. Can't it wait? I almost never answer my cell when I'm driving. And when I do I never talk for more than a thirty seconds. It's kinda hard to drive a stick and talk on the phone at the same time

I have to say I never realized how crazy and dangerous common transportation was until I got the bike, its completely different when you feel everyone else is out there to get you.

Especially the distracted or old people making left turns.




or your friend brake checking you


or another one backing into you



or almost getting run over by a fire truck w/o lights or siren on, yet still in a major hurry

I never use my phone while driving unless I'm at a stop or its just to say "Can't talk, I'll call you back" If its important then I will pull over and talk.

ya when i went to the auto show i saw an Escalade and the breaks were so small, you could hardly even see them behind the massive wheels.

Also i've learned with my ninja that when your on a bike, its almost like your invisible even if the bike is bright green and your wearing a red helmet and a green jacket, no one sees you! I was almost hit by some girl in a suv, she was pulling into the gas station and didnt see me because she was talking on her cell phone, good thing i saw her pull in and slammed on the breaks and locked them up, barely missing her car (i was so close i could have reached out and touched it) then we had a little chat , the gear really makes you look like chuck norris

Hay but a good thing (i think) about motorcycles and manuel cars are that it is hard to talk on the phone or text etc.

that 's nothing, in my country is worst they haven' t education, they always cross with the red light, they never respect the laws of I journey etc.

I have been in four wrecks in my life...

2 times I was rear ended by a lil old lady 70+

1 time I was broadsided by a lil old lady 80-ish?
