If it's done right, it can be a nice touch.

Most, however, don't do it right. And there's only one coat. So it gets scratched and nicked to hell.

I'm not gunna lie everyone is guilty of a few of these. But I mean your only a ricer if your guilty of a bunch of them. Lol any more then lets say 5-10 of those then you might wanna start rebuilding your car
Well the wing one just depends on the spoiler and the car you drive. Honestly I've seen some spoilers look reall nice. But honestly, if my car has a spoiler on it stock then whats the use of putting another on it? But theres this kid at my skool that has a SUPER riced out eclipse. I mean this thing is running so rich you can fricken smell it coming out of the exhaust. It has a huge body kit and spoiler on it.. The spoiler litterly is almost higher than his fricken roof is. Lol when I see him drive by and I am walking to my car I just wanna yell "RICCCCCCCCCCE!" lol that'd be great but my gf wont let me

Oh No guys, i wouldn't think there would be anydisrespect thrown my way talking about the "Ricer" and my name being Rice. . .LOL. .

Ya know i use to be stationed in El Paso and I've seen some odd stuff done to cars though. . . . Hood Pins on a stock hood, spray painted body kits that are almost falling off, spray painted back windows, Dual Exhaust on a bunch of Civics (don't ask me why). but the one thing i didn't get was the little wheel thing. Seeing some classic cars rolling on 10's or 9's even with stock suspention. I just don't get that. . .Oh and the big one was HUGE tach on unmodified cars, still trying to figure that out. I've also seen people roll around with A-pilar gages that read water temp, or out side temp, or bat voltage. i guess it's all a person style thing.
The worst thing i've ever done now that i'm thinking about it is put that Jb weld on my exhaust to hold the pipe together so i could get a GO at the inspection station, a week later i had a new exhaust for it, but i guess i'm guilty of riceing because of that

I had a 95 Saturn that the headliner was starting to fall on...and the cheapest repair I could find was about $100 so I figured I would try something new...

i took the headliner completely out of the car, removed the old fabric and then with a thick spatula I scrapped off all the old adhesive

then I went to walmart and bought the textured spray paint...you know the kind that is one color but has tiny little flakes in it...

so I bought two cans of black that had tiny bits of three different shades of grey in it...honestly it looked just like the carpet in the car

went back home and spray painted the fiber board, let it dry, and then added a second coat...

needless to say when I traded the car in the dealer wanted to know who did the work cause he wanted it done to his own car...when I told him I did it with two $2.98 cans of spray paint he said he was going to walmart on his lunch break!

i wish i had some pics of it...everyone who seen it said they loved it!

honestly i was suprised myself how well it turned out...the little flakes cover up all imperfections so you almost have to be an idiot to mess it up!!!

I have a triple gauge pod with boost, air/fuel, and oil temp gauges that I haven't installed yet because my car is still NA. I'm going turbo in the future but I can't bring myself to put them in yet lol.

Well I was wanting an oil pressure gauge and an ampmeter...cause my cluster doesnt have one and those are important gauges...and I planned on putting them in either frog eyes or on the pillar

I agree that yes oil press and air is important, depending on the application of the car, but if it's not hooked up then. . .why have it installed? or if your car is N/A and you are sporting a boost gauge to see the vacuume. . . . .

A pillar gauges are becoming a thing of the past now, since you can't put them in any of the new cars, the thing is, how will I know how much boost I am running off my electric supercharger?

Haha, good one. You know what's replacing gauges? Digital dashes. Like the ones they use in F1 and Indy cars. All the info you need on one screen, with datalogging and hookups right to your ECU. Which brings me to the future rice: You have a DVD screen over your old gauges instead of datalogging dashbooard. Just watch, in 5 years it will happen. All rice stuff comes from racing anyway.
