Default Fast and Furious 4

Your car in a blockbuster film? Does this sound too good to be true? Well here's the straight dope: Mac from Rich King Casting, the official casting agency for the cars of The Fast and the Furious 4, got in touch last night and said he's interested in putting CarDomain members' rides in the upcoming film! If you live in the LA area and you've got a sweet ride, get ahold of these guys right now for a chance to show your car in a scene. You'd be surprised by the cars they're looking for, too: while I'm sure they want a whole heap of tuners, their official casting call has requested American muscle, hot rods, and restored classics as well. We'd be so stoked to see one of you guys get your car into the film—so check out RKC's new ride page, and the CarDomain Group they've set up to keep in touch with recruits. Don't delay, filming starts next month, and next month is coming up fast!

Yay another movie to again make the world think that Tuners are a bunch of money grubbing criminals. Films like this are the reason speeding laws are getting stricter and more kids are getting killed in street races. TAKE IT OFF THE STREETS!!!

This is racing. Not the movies. If you can't act like this, then you shouldn't drive at all:

They are terrible. Those movies made the cops crack down on speeding (bad) and street racing (good) everywhere in the world. Those movies are the reason normal people HATE tuners. And why Johnny Law pulls you over because your exhaust is "too loud" (but ignores the Harleys with open exhausts). Racing isn't about running from the cops, it's about proving you are the fastest driver with the fastest car. The thrill real racers get out of cars is pushing them to their max.

Think I'm bluffing? Canada passed a law that makes any speeder caught doing 50 kph (about 30 mph) over the limit a street racer. And it's been so successful, it might move to America in some way. and FF movies just remind people why laws like that should be written. I don't want that at all. I think more of them should learn how to drive.

Oh and the plots suck, as does the editing. In the third movie, Rhys Millen drifts the RX-7 around that R33 over 100 times. How much do you see? About 5 seconds. And he actually drifted the 350Z up the parking garage, no special effects. THAT is real racing right there.

For the record, HondaClub.com does NOT condone drag racing at all.

Drift, thanks for sharing the opportunity with our members. We must keep this at only a casting call to support visibility of the great looking vehicles our members have, but NOT endorsing racing in any form or fashion.

I'm lucky, I won't be able to do it since my car isn't cool enough, but I'll see the shooting all over LA especially downtown LA. They're not that hard to miss.
