Default Vacation or Home

Just need some opinions, the lady and I have been planning a vacation to the Cayman Islands, but we just found a Home we really like(been looking)
can't decide to spend the money saved on a new home or and all exclusive vacation.

Man this is VERY simple!!!

A great vacation is nice and all...but afterwards all you have is pics and memories...

With a Home it is an investment! You can always sell it later...you cant do that with a vacation! Plus a home is a great way to be prepared for any accident that may happen...catch my drift?

Usually I say in my opinion...but this time I strongly urge you to get the home...you can always decorate each room different and have your vacation in your new home!!!

3 things I firmly preach about.....
(1) PROTECT & CARE FOR YOUR LOVED ONES... when they're gone, you die slowly inside

(2) PROTECT YOURSELF, STAY HEALTHY, & OUT OF TROUBLE.... you're worthless to anyone else if you can't take care of yourself first.

(3) PROTECT YOUR HOME... YOUR OWN HOME, that is !!! even an apt or a place you lease is your home, treat it with respect b/c millions of others wish they had a roof, ANY roof.... but YOUR OWN home is an asset that is priceless.

((3.1)) Many people make their decision based on "we may not live there for a long time, so why buy?"
that's BS!!! regardless of your plans to occupy your home, it's YOURS, and you can lease it out later if you decide to move somewhere else, plus you've thrown away money paying rent that you could have spent on your own home loan.

((3.2)) "but we'll lose all this downpayment money!!"
Bigger BS, smells worse!!! once you sign the papers on your own home, you may have instant equity that can make up for some of that downpayment money... plus it's great security and a great investment.

((3.3)) "well our monthly home payment might be a little higher than our rent right now!"
That grosses me out !!! The IRS allows you to write off ALL the interest paid on your home mortgage. Simply put, your tax return is NICE every year !!!

((3.4)) "I like the fact that all we do is call the front office or the landlord so they can come fix something."
I gotta go get you some cheese to go with that whine !!! My question to you is... "do you also call your mommy or daddy to help you do your laundry and cook for you and to lace-up your tennis shoes?!"

A vacation will quickly be a memory, but your own home is a place where you build memories EVERY DAY !!!
