Ok, Im not calling bs, but I have to ask about the taurus beating the f body and the vette. Seems to me theres only 2 options.

#1 They were the late 70's emissions restricted types, which have about the same hp as your average v6 of today

or

#2 you got one wild motor in that taurus, which would be cool to see.

So, which is it just out of curriosity? As far as names.. the only thing that came to me was speed racer lol. I know thats aweful. Course, I dont ride with any crew, so Im not used to the idea of being part of anything. Good luck with the new group.

wanna know the secret to winning? its not having th most power, but who has the most traction and accelleration. I took off FAST, but my top speed sucks. Ironicaly, both the camaro and vette were new-ish, but they both spun BAD on the line. so bad in fact that by the time they were going my speed, i was already halfway down the road to the lights!

civic didnt spin. we were equal on the start, but as i said, my top speed sucks, so he kicked in the Vtec and flew past me near the finish.

Its not the HP that is important...its your Power (HP) to Weight (lbs.) Ratio that will save your tail! 1:10 is about ideal!

True, its not so much the horsepower as it is the torque. Thats what gives you the push back in your seat and your launch off the line. Its not so much high numbers, but how much is going to the ground. But still, it seems like this case went to the other great X factor.. driver skill\luck lol. That night you got the W cause you were the better driver and knew your cars reaction to pavement conditions. I just dont know if Id try em for a second run. Second time around they may actually hook up lol

lol true. Course, theres alot to be said for getting either of those cars to run you in the first place. Depending on which car Im in and who pulls up, theres alot of times I wont even waste the gas on em. Theres probably a few wanna be racers who think theyre faster than me simply because I havent given them the time of day. The cops can be touchy around here, so Im not about to risk a street racing ticket for some tercell with a funny lookin body kit and fart can.

there aint no cops around here at 3-4 am. and usualy to get the race going is the classic way... stop light, look at opponent, rev motor, green light, GO!

I love the fact that some people still think they get high hp boosts just by adding a fart can! Hi-larious
