I already have the best all around peoples car in a red Honda Civic and I have the best in American luxury in a Cadillac Fleetwood which has a corvette 5.7 LT1 with Elderbrock headers, air induction and MSD etc. You could say I have one car that is awake and one that is a sleeper!

oh boy, this is tough, um i have three cars in mind.

the first is a 1976 Chevrolet C10 Custom Deluxe 7.2L V8 Supercharged RWD A/T or M/T, it don't matter, put like a bright bright kinda faded green color, with a chrome grille, black 3 inch strip running down the side, slammed about 4 up front, 5 1/2 in the back. wood bed linning with the polished chrome dividers, bench seat, 2 12 inch subs behind the seat, LCD flip out/pop open screen in the dash. maybe put some slicks on it, oh biy that thing would yell!

then my next car would be a 97 Toyota Supra TT, changed to AWD, intake, forged pistons, id give it the works. keep the body stock, cept the rims, but id keep the 18 inch.

Last would be a 97 MK4 VW Jetta GLX VR6, turbo, mold the rear doors shut, lose the back seats, take out everything but the dash, and the driverseat. intake, pistons, connecting rods, the works, roll cage, get some porche 7 slots on their, (rims for those who aren't familar with german cars)

oh and 2 more cars, a 1968 Chevrolet Corvair, stock monza coupe hardtop.
and to fully rice the engine on my accord, then pull up to some s.o.b. and when he looks at my car, says its junk, I'll smoke his ass!

I would not by any means, want to squash anyone's dreams, or make fun of anyone's dreams. But I do have a question because I am uncertain.......

50\50 weight ballanced, 400+ horses, street legal... and not looking to to bad in the proccess. If nothing seriously wrong with my engine, Ill keep the car pretty much stock like it is now..
I am curious how you are to achieve 50/50 with an LT1 motor and v8 tranny behind it? If this is possible I sure would be interested in picking up an rx-7!!

My ideal dream car. That is a tough one. There are so many cars out there to choose from that have such wonderful qualities. I will list a few, then we can squich them all together in a big $hit sandwich for the ultimate street driven car.

1: since we're talking about perfect weight balance, I was thinking of the Acura NSX. If I'm not mistaken, it is in the top three cars that offer the closest ratio to 50/50 balance.

2: I don't remember who made it, but it was featured in a mag not to long ago. I would be speaking of the Fairlady Z with the 8cyl twin turbo AWD set up. Once traction issues were solved, and you could build a rear end to handle the horsepower, that would be amazing.

3: The Mclaren F1. Enough said.

4: A volvo 780 with a 600 hp Cat, 18 speed tranny, and a double eagle sleeper. LOL, I can see some of you scratching your heads. For those that don't know, it's a semi. And the double eagle sleeper is the HUGE ones that you see running around (pic at end of post). The reason I would add this is because of it's options. Huge motor, uber torque, and living space to boot!!! What's not to love about 600hp twin turbo monster with a double bunk, dinet, hardwood floors, and big screen TV?

.........besides, we're dreaming, right?

Well, the orriginal design of a rx7 was to have it balanced, that was from the factory. From the things Ive read, putting any built 350 under the rx7s hood will put it just slightly out of that balance but not much. As odd as it may sound, when you dump your rotary and the rats nest of accessories for a v8, you actually end up with more room under there. If I ever have to ditch mine, Ill source one of the all aluminum vette engines. If you want more information Ill pull a few links for you out of the Rx7clubs' 'other engine conversions' section next time Im over that way.

Love Fab turbo kit for my S2000 or as stated, a S15. I really love those.
