Question make a cylinder

anyone know how I would go about making a cylinder about 3-4 feet tall and 2 feet in diamater out of wood or something

Its for a school project, thought about PVC but I can't find something that big, and it would probally be too hard to paint and cut.

i would advise picking a medium other than wood. that would be extremely difficult and time consuming.

Its going to be one hell of a job building a cylinder that big. I would just look for a manufactured pipe.

Use a dremal on the PVC and paint if with spray paint.

If you still don't think PVC is a good idea then I don't know. Thats one huge cylinder. Would it be possible to use a piece of big construction paper or does it need to be more solid?

Sonotube makes concrete forms that big around, probably too expensive though. Might have to but a 16 foot long piece. Try calling building supply places like Home Depot. Sonotube is a name brand, big thick cardboard tubes for forming concrete pilings...
