Default NSX GT-R vs S2000

Hey guys,
Can some one please explain to me why does the NSX produce so little power compared to S2000. It has an engine which is 1.0 L bigger than S2000, BUT it produces only 50 hp more than the S2000??The Civic Si has 197hp with 2.0 L and S2000 has 40 hp but the engine size increased only by 0.2 L.
Thanks

All in how the engine was built.

Remember the NSX was designed back in 1990. The S2000 has 10 years of advancements in tuning, engine design, cylinder head flow, and materials advances. The head of the S2000 engine has super-lightweight valves, near perfect head flow, and a newer version of VTEC. Also, the S2000 engine was designed from the ground up as a full-bore racing engine, whereas the NSX engine is based off of the Accord/CL block (deal with it folks, it's the truth). If Honda designed a new NSX engine today, it would make much more pwer than it did before.

Ahh,makes sense! It would be nice if they totally changed the engine for the 2005 model so it would produce at least 350 hp. The 2010 NSX will not be as underpowered, but i hate the looks, nothing compares to the original!!

I hate to break the news to you, but the 2010 NSX is dead. The economy crash caused Honda to cancel all plans for the car indefinetely. That doesn't mean the car will never be finished, but until the markets are stable, the NSX will remain a dream.
