I have been thinking of buying a street bike. What do you all think? I am stuck between the 600 and 1000. They both are beautiful machines but I want both of them...lol
Also how safe do you think people on bikes are? I guess the real question is should I or shouldn't I? CBR600RR Honda Motorcycles CBR1000RR Honda Motorcycles

how much experience do you have with sport bikes?
Personally I think the newer 600rr has more than enough power for anyone unless they are on a track, and from what the reviews say has been redesigned with the street rider in mind. That translates to a comforatable ride and decent mid range power. The 1000 seems like more of a track bike. Here's a review on the newer (07+) 600rr: 2007 Honda CBR600RR - First Ride Street Bike Test - Motorcycle USA

If it's your first bike, go with a cbr600rr, I had one and I loved it. The 03-04 models are a little heavy but great all around. The 05-06 slighty different look (not by much) and a little engine tweaking done by honda so midrange power is better. The 07 model is hot!!! I handles great, lighter, faster, more responsive and a softer ride. Good luck in your search for the right bike for you.

I can drive anything with or without wheels, but I am leaning toward the 600 more.

![]() Seriously, I'd go with the 600, other than the 1000 being a death machine for someone without a lot of experience on a big sport bike, all that extra weight takes away from the fun, and you'll never use that extra power. that, and the insurance

Honda's are addicting

I think the 600 is an excellent bike. I rode bikes for a few years, and to tell you the truth my '91 CBR600 felt fast, but when i test drove the new 1000rr, i'll admit it scared me. You have to have alot of repsect for these bikes, even the little ones. And remember even if your the best rider on the planet the idiot in the Focus isn't and if he hits you there's a good chance its over. I lost 2 buddies that way, thats why I don't ride anymore.
