is your engine like full of oil all over the place or something?
and if it is theres a few ways to clean your engine on the outside

my best way personaly is takeing it to the car wash
and I use the engine cleaner and then I was the heck out of it
and once I get home I grap some windex and try to get the parts I missed
and thats how I clean mine and once its clean your all set for a great while

but i'm sure theres better ways to clean the outside of an engine
but thats my way haha
