Default Is my clutch going???

I get in my 2000 integra ls this morning and the clutch goes all the way down to the floor with no resistance, it was pretty hard to get it into 1st but i got it going. about two stop lights later the shifter would not budge. I was stuck in nutral so i pumped the clutch a bit, finally it went back into 1st.

All the way to work its been acting wierd, sometimes the clutch goes all the way to the floor with no resistance and sometimes its feels normal its not shifting from gear to gear its more like popping. sometimes it feels ok but most of the time i feel like im forcing it from gear to gear.

anybody know whats up?

It sounds like you're losing fluid from one of your lines. Check for leaks from your master cylinder all the way down to the slave cylinder.

no problem narde...your best bet is to wipe the lines down really well and when you're ready to check, have someone press the clutch in really slowly so you can see where the fluid is leaking. I hope its just a line!

I think there is some kind of fluid specifically for cluthes. Use that. Probably a line going in the system. When it feels spongy, it's hydraulics. A slipping clutch is really easy to feel. You let off the cluth, the engine revs, and the car doesn't move. Wear safety glasses and an old shirt when you're checking your lines. My dad got squirted in the face when I was checking over my power steering lines.

You probably already know this but just to say it. You drove the car when it was acting kind of funny. . . . make sure you bleed those lines out really good

hydrolics + air = bad buisness
