do you have fire? Pull a plug and have someone crank it over...see if it fires.

need more information. Allright, you say you have spark. Do you have fuel pressure? check compression to check block. Rare for block to go all of a sudden. How long ago was the head word done?

Yep, if you've got fire, it means that your ecu thinks everything is good enough to run. you may want to check your fuel pressure. Other than that, we need more info to help you.

When you try to start it is it turning over? Is it making any funny noises? If it is making funny noises what kind of noises is it making? What kind of head work was done? When they did the head work did they replace the head gasket?

had something along those lines happen to a friends Scooby. After checking it out, it turned out to be the vavle guides in cylindar 1 (zero compression). he got it fixed for like 1,000 bucks and everything is working now.
I doubt that could be the issue, like the others have stated we need more info. Noises, vibrations. . . etc.

Isn't 40psi a bit low? I thought EFI cars should be hitting around 60psi.
