With 4" of water I would drive that all day. To suck in water with a cold air intake you have to totally submerge the entire filter under water. That would be about 1 1/2' of water.
The bypass might make you confident but it actually does no good. It doesn't open in time to do anything. The intake will act like a straw and just suck the water in as fast as you pass through it. And I don't see anyone purposely driving through a foot and a half of water unless if t hey are trying to total their car.

No matter what brand it is.. Its an ebay brand they're the same when it comes to making power. But honestly I have an ebay intake on my truck and had one on my accord and couldn't tell a difference at all in performance dude. I know your just trying to save money but in the long run your just wasting money because your going to decide to put a name brand on. If I still had my Accord I would prolly be running with an AEM or Injen intake right now.. Don't waste your money and put some money into it. Also you appreciate your car more with name brand stuff on it. Also you'll have stuff to brag about to your friends.

The real difference between name brand and off name brand is installation. Your non-name brand intakes aren't very stable under the hood. They put stick into the intake and have a filter on the end and they usually get heat soak rather quickly. The name brand intake systems are more secure under the hood by anchoring them down to a stock bolt or something and they don't get as heat soaked so you get more power.
Only reason I know that is because I had a toucan intake on my car when I was N/A and after I went to an AEM cold air there was a slight change in power and it was much more secure under the hood.

Injen is a good brand. I have heard of Bomz but that's not a popular brand.

All 3 of my cars with new intakes were short rams. And most of the CAIs I've seen were set fairly low. The AEM valve works quite well. The owner of AEM was more than willing to let Sport Compact Car magazine test it on his NSX. The pictures speak for themselves. Yes nobody uses an Intake tube that long, but the water is still low enough that it would work on a regular car.

I would go with the Injen. Thats the one I have on my daily driver and it fits beautiful. It is very secure under hood and looks great.
