so i was wondering....my buddy claims some parts are interchangeable between the B16 and B18 DOHC VTEC.....is this true?..parts like CIA, turbo kit, etc. Let me kno asap so i can decide whether to upgrade to a VTEC engine first or do it later....thanks all!

Well there is a lot of other things that you would have to do, like wireing the v-tec wire, chip or change out ur ecu all together, run an oil line and other thungs to and if you dont do it right you will end up having to get a new motor.

Turbo kits all depend on the car since the piping has to be routed to fit the engine bay. Get VTEC now, since it's less than a turbo, and it's a lot easier to upgrade from there. The head to a motor is pretty important and the b-series VTEC one is really good for its day (the new ones are better but won't fit the b-series), and the non-VTECs are not anywhere near as good. The B18 and B16 blocks are different, but I think the heads can be interchanged.
