Default Swap?

Ok ive had my teg for a few days now and everyone says get rid of it cause its automatic and its not worth tuning...Im not lookin to make a 10 second car just sumthin semi fast that looks clean and gets me around

If i were to swap what would be the best for my car i have B18A1 in there now and i was wonderin whats the cheapest and best way to go? swap the head for a vtec head or just get a whole new motor?

And would a b16 even be an option?

you can always convert to stick, or if you want to leave it auto you can do a auto b16 tranny and ecu and do a ls/vtec with your motor.

i would trade the core in and go with a b18c5 type r or you can swap the tranny and the head i would sugguest a b16 tranny with a b16 or b18 head if you have a b16 tranny in your car you should have a shorter gear ratio and if you had a b16 head you run a high compression motor. stock but fast .

swap the tranny to a b16 or b18 tranny and then boost the motor the way it is. those motors love boost and run top notch with 8-9lbs blowing in.

Ok i have a B18A1 so what good what it do it i got a Bseries tranny dont i already have 1? and can i get a B16 in an auto? if so where and how much?

i'm about 99% sure they didn't make the b16 in auto but if your are looking to swap the tranny already swap the whole thing over to a standard. that alone will make a huge difference.

Sorry that 1% is right lol. They made auto b16's in japan

Listen convert to stick. Honda makes terrible automatic trannies, they are geared soooo poorly and you wont have fun driving that ****. Learning to drive stick is as easy as taking a ****.

1. Convert to stick, youll need: shift linkage, pedal assembly, tranny, manual ECU
2. Put a obd1 vtec head on like: 92-93 (b17 gsr), 94-95 (b18c or b18c1 (US) GSR), or a 92-95 (b16a)
3. Put the vtec conversion kit in.
4. Make sure you put the corresponding ECU to the head you got.. so get a GSR ECU if you got a GSR head for it.
5. Put bolt ons on, like intake, header, exhaust, high flow cat. Lower the car too, helps for traction, and most importantly, a sick set of tires is quite possibly the best mod (besides improving driver skill).
6. If bolt ons arent enough for you... turbo it.. the LS bottom end takes very well to boost.
