Default OBD0 to OBD1 conversion

I've Been putting together a VTEC head swap for my 91 LS TEG and i"m a bit confused about something. So far I have the complete head, intake manifold, distributor, P28 ecu.
I Believe 91 Tegs came with OBD0. The head im swaping in is OBD1 (correct me if i"m wrong), P72. I've heard of this conversion plug that you can go from OBD0 to OBD1, but would I need any additional wires for the VTEC in order for the VTEC to work?
