Default Running Rough

My Integra is running rough. I only bought it about a week a go, and it was great when I bought it. But now it'll be ok for a second and then lose power like it is only running on 3 cylinders. Any one have any advise where to start or what might be causing the issue?

Check your spark plugs, make sure they are gapped properly (if you bought the car used). Check the plug wires, hopefully its one of these as they are cheap to fix.

is it losing power at all revs or just in vtec?..if its just vtec then the problem is most likely 2 do with your engine oil, any disruption to the flow or a low level due to a leak etc will cause vtec to disable itself and ur car will jump around kicking in and out of vtec.

More important question. First and foremost...Do you have a Check Engine Light (CEL) on?

well this sounds real familiar to me..years ago same thing happened to me with civic....do a compression test...to rule out a burnt valve...pretty easy test to do, especially if you know someone with gauge. if you a significant loss of compression compred to other cylindars, sounds like a burnt valve....hopefully it's not that...good luck
