keep in mind that putting rims that big on the car will hurt your power. you may not care about that but i'm just putting that out there.

Wil you do me a favor and explain how rim size hurts power? Its unsprung weight, the more rim you have the heavier they are plus you have more to turn over but on a dyno you will put out the same with 10 inch rims or 24 inch rims, just take you longer to reach redline.

So big rims slow you down, but don't change your HP #s?

So is there a use for larger wheels other than style

it requires more engine power to spin a larger diameter rim than it does a stock or smaller rim....right?

and yes, on a dyno you would make the same power but in a real world situation you would be slower if i have this right. this is just what i've heard...please correct me if i'm wrong.

Thats what I was trying to state. On a drag strip the smaller wheel (same tire and driver skill of course) will win. No reason for big rims other than style.

and larger rims affect handling since you have that extra unspring weight unless you go with really, really exspensive rims that are light weight but the handling will still be affected
