Integra Type-R registry - HondaClub.com

Hey guys, I've been working on a side-project for a few weeks now and just getting peoples input and opinions. Allthough most cars I've listed are from the US and Canada, I've seen a good number of Western European R's and half of them are JDM. I've built a registry based on the fact that most markets have the interior badge (build number) that is unique to the individual caR. That fact excludes JDM of course. For them I just encourage the owners to make their listing unique by adding photos and comments (which everyone can do).

Anyways, I would like to invite the "R" owners to list their caRs in the registry as well as the opportunity to show off their caR and tell the world a little about it. Please check it out and let me know what you think.

I manually put the site together and maintain it manually, so there are no user options other than to submit your car to be listed and to let me know through email about customizing and updating your page. There will never be forums, or any kind of classifieds as to not take traffic from communities like Honda-tech, team-integra, itr-dc2, ozhonda, team-jdm, hondaclub, etc.

Hondaclub admin, please let me know if there is a better forum page to post this on. I just figured the Type-R owners would be in the Honda forum and that this would be of intrest.

Tyrant I think this is a great idea. I think that this thread should be stickied so that our members can find it easily. But you did put it in the correct forum. Is this only for Integras or is it open to other Type-Rs (Civic, Accord, NSX, etc.)? If not have you thought about adding this option? Also have you talked to Honda about this yet? They may be interested in sponsoring the site and helping you match names and VINs (tell them it would be a way for Honda to kep in contact with their most loyal fans). Keep up the good work and when I get my own ITR I will be sure to sign up (provided you don't mind waiting about 10 years for that to happen, lol).

I don't think Honda tracks the cars so much after they send them off to the dealership. I know they don't track the badge numbers with the VIN's. If you get a replacement arm rest it is a blank plate and they can't look it up. A guy on Honda-tech and ITRCA has been doing this for years though with a silent/offline registry and can help people figure them out. If anyone needs help figuring out their badge number I've been referring them to Doespike on HT. He has been more than helpful. I never thought about whether Honda might sponsor it or not. hmmm....

Well Honda could use the publicity. Ferari does this sort of thing with their restoration clinic, so Honda might bite on this. Best of luck.
