Hey guys im looking to get myself an integra in september when my next years no claims comes through BUT .. what are they like MPG? Currently driving a clio sport 182 and that rips through petrol lol.
Also could somebody post the performance figures of both the 1.8 R-Type and the 2.0. Eg 0-60 times, mpg etc. Also any other suggestions would be helpful ![]() Looking to spend about hmm 7-8k on one what sort of model would this get me? Last edited by Fordy101; 07-07-2008 at 08:36 AM. |

Clio? What country are you from (because I assume that 7K is not in US dollars. If it's Euros, that makes about 10-12K, right)?
I don't think the EG Civic ever came with a 2.0 engine. Only with the new model has the displacement exceded 1.6 liters. AS for MPG, the Civic will get slightly better mileage (owing to it's slightly lower weight and smaller engine). My guess is with a light foot you can squeeze out 35 mpg. However the mroe realistic number is probably 28 or lower. I had an Integra LS. I drive with a lead foot. I would average about 24 MPG. However have been able to make over 30 MPG on occasion. The Type-R will probably be a bit lower, and only if you keep it on the low cam. I'd skip the Type-R if you are worried about gas mileage. A base Civic or Integra can easily make the high MPG, and you can outfit them later on to beat a Type-R. The other thing is that I have never seen a real Type-R go for less than $40K USD. The used market really jacks up the prices on rare cars (Enzos, for example, sell for more than twice their original cost. That's about 1.5 million USD). Plus I hate seeing rare cars like Type-Rs modified and destroyed.

My wife's 04 civic has a 1.7L and gets about 35 mpg on average. If we drive in a lot of traffic, it'll drop to around 32-34 mpg. Thats with an auto-magic without a lead foot.

yer mate am from the UK. Been looking at integra's for a wile now the clio just doesnt do it for me, though it is fast.
Hmm ive bene looking around and ive seen integras ranging from 7-9k (pounds) for an earlier model 1997-2000 models 2.0 - 1.8's. Umm 2002 models are going for about 10k-15k depending on condition. Ill post a picture of the example i was thinking about getting just want to know really 0-60 times as im finding it v difficult to find anything on them. 2000 HONDA INTEGRA DC2 TYPE R >> http://www.gtr-jdmspeedpower.com/images/dc2001.jpg think its the 1.8 version. That is currecntly for sale 58k miles on the clock for £7,999 is that a good price? Also how much of a difference in performance is there between this and my clio 182. 182'S Stats: Top speed : 139 mph 0-60 - 6.9 sec mpg - 34 (stated) Appreciate the help guys. what year Integra are you looking at? DC2 or DC5?
I have the USDM DC5 type-S (2005). when taking it easy i can get about 27mph city, 41 -42 mpg Highway. 0-60 times really depend on your driving. the fastest i've been up to was about 148mph, but on US highways it's really not suggested at all (i was younger and a little dumber). now as i think about it, in the UK you guys only got the Type R and the Integra. so I don't have the USDM base model stats, sorry. . . . but gave ya what i knew Last edited by TnTRice; 07-07-2008 at 08:27 PM. |

I rented a Cilo one time to go to berlin, very nice ride. . .. but it got beat out when i rented an 06 Alfa Romeo Spider when my wife came and visited me in germany. .. . very very nice! had that thing up around 147mph heading up the Wartburg, then to Buchenwald. . . probably could have gone faster but we were entering a control area

im sure there is no such thing as a 2.0L dc2 integra.
i think the type r 0-60mph is roughly 6.5 sec. id guess the top speed is about 240 km/h. if the other integras u r looking at dont have vtec i think performance wise u will be hugely dissapointed after driving the clio. my vtec integra gets about 450km from 37litres if u wanna do the conversions. |
