HID KIT's - HondaClub.com

Does anyone know if HID kits are street legal in California? I found a good deal on a kit here in San Diego but I'm not sure if those kits are street legal.

Go to your DMV site, find the Driver's Manual, and then look for the section on mandatory equipment. My guess is that HIDs are legal, but must be installed a certain way (ie the light can only travel a certain distance, so the lenses must be angled properly. That varies from state to state).

They are legal the only one that isn't are the 10,000k, you will get a ticket of at least $200 each light.

10,000k have a purple low light output. I would go no higher than 8000K and I only say this from experience.

I think the 8000Ks are perfect. I have got 8000Ks in the lows and 5000Ks in the highs. It is like a blue and semi yellow contrast. It looks cool.

I wanted the 10,000 just because purple is my color, but I won't since they are illegal
