Question Boosting b18b1

I was wondering if anyone has boosted the B18b1 on the stock internals and how much boost the internals can handle. any info will be much appriciated.

On stock internals I wouldn't go any more than 8lbs. That is usually the safe number.

Check out the turbo article in the articles section. 10 psi is the max for most Hondas, but that is with some **** good tuning. 8 or 9 psi is a safe run.

I figured a max of 10 pounds for a 1/4 mile run and 5 to 6 pounds daily.

Keep boost at the same level all the time. It's not as easy as you would think to constantly change the boost settings. Besides, you will be addicted to the power. You won't want to turn it down.

Now what about a b18a i want to get a new motor for my teg and was going to boost it for 7 lbs is that a safe bet im doing it on stock internals but if i dont boost im going ls vtec.

Safe on stock internals, safe on LS-VTEC. Just make sure you can supply enough fuel and that you have a good tuner.

I would boost the B18B and, if you want, save the B18A as a backup. The B is a slightly better engine and will make a bit morepower over the A.
