Hey guys, I'm triying to figure out a good exhaust to get for my 94 Integra. I want a DEEP sounding exhaust, I'm not big on the bumble bee in a trash can sound. A guy I met told me to put Flomaster on it, he said he put one on a Civic and sounded great. To me it doesn't make much sense. I thought Flomaster went on redneck rides?!?! But I dunno, I'm new to the whole "pimpin" my ride. Anyone that knows anything about Flows on an import let me know. Thanks.

Flowmaster makes good stuff, not just for V8s. Although sound has a lot to do with the engine itself, not the exhaust. More cylinders means more burble and less whine. And the more of the exhaust you open, the more of the sound you get (ie, if you just do the muffler, you get less than if you do a cat back or catback & headers, etc). Intakes help too and can even be silent under part throttle. But, YE BE WARNED cops listen to loud exhausts and a fat sewer pipe out back makes you a huge target. Personally, I'd take a good flowing exhaust that's quiet, over something loud and obnoxious. The charm wears out prety quick. Oh and you also have to deal with the some of the Ricer Bible problems.

flowmaster has come a long way...
remember when hyandai first came out it was like the next yugo...but they changed it around to the briggs and stratton of the import world... your best bet is to find rides like yours with aftermarket exhaust...shows....tune shops...parking lots...wherever you are at once you find the sound you like ask the owner what exhaust he has...then you can get the sound you want without going through a few exhausts

You will never be happier than with one of their exhausts. Wonderful, deep tone. Not ricey sounding, and not too loud so you wont get hassled by the cops. Ive got one going on my SiR in a couple weeks. They are a little expensive, though. But well worth it in the end. |

i've had no muffler on my car for 2 years and bolt it back up everytime i go for inspection... i was just stating my opinion and what i have done, doesn't mean everyone has to agree, ya know? he wanted a deep sounding exhaust and that's one way he could do it...

If you get flow master don't get a flowmaster fart can get an oval flowmaster muffler.. My Accord had an oval muffler on it instead of the can and it sounded much better than a friends Accord with a fart can. I feel that the Oval Mufflers make your car have a deeper but more controlled tone to them than fart cans.. Most fart cans are just like hearing a loud screetch lol. If you get a can back it helps a lot also.. What I would do for a cat back thou is buy a muffler online or something then go to your local little guy muffler shop and have them bend the pipes and stuff trust me it will be much cheaper than buying a catback kit on line or something.
