I DOUBT IT. cops have better things to do then to look to see if a car has a muffler everytime they hear a loud exhaust, or lack there of. i cound understand if it happened in CA. anyways it sounds good! lol

I was right behind him when the cop flew around me to pull him over...it was loud...

Towed the car...had to tow it to a shop to have it replaced...couldnt touch it himself...

oh and a $2000 fine for illegal modification!

It was hilarious til the judge gave him that!

I know many people, myself included, who have been busted for that. Sometimes, cops have nothing better to do.

Anyway, back on topic... I still say source out a Thermal system. Quiet, beautiful tone, and you (shouldnt) get hassled by the cops. I never did after I put my last one on.

I always reccomend AEM and DC Sports. They're 50 state emissions compliant, add good power, and sound good too. Although anything emissions legal is usually high quality anyway.

I know some one in a Ford Ranger that got pulled over for not having a muffler. My cousin got pulled over in his truck for not having a muffler it happens all the time. You're just lucky I strongly suggest that you keep all parts of your exhaust they are there for a reason whether its to make the car quieter or control emssions which the muffler does both. I think they sound super ricey with out a muffler any way thats coming from someone who had a friend in a 92 civic who cut off the muffler. The thing was so fricken loud. It had one tone to it and that was straight up loud. It was annoying always woke people up and just sounded like pure crap.

True, you lose out a bit on your fuel economy as well but when I took my muffler off to put on my new Magnaflow I had to make a couple Canadian Tire runs to get some exhaust reducers - you def notice a power difference and it sounds nice though - I thought about just piping it back and throwing a tip on but it woulda been a waste of a muffler I got it on clearance cuz my buddy knocked it down haha so it was non returnable.

Oh and Magnaflow sounds dope but honestly get a custom exhaust done through a muffler shop, its cheaper - slap a brand name exhaust on it and you're set. Keep in mind the more exhaust you're giving off the louder your car will be, things like fuel injectors or forced induction will work your exhaust a lot hard, tis the ****
