cranksaft sensors are usually pretty easy to change. sometimes they are mounted by the crankshaft pulley. sometimes they are in the side of the block. The hardest part about crankshaft sensors is getting to where you can get the old one out. That can be a real headache if they are mounted back by the firewall but typically they take about 10 mins. to change

and most of that time is jacking the car or pulling it up on ramps...
if you can change a spark plug, then you should have no problem
