not much...just an engine swap or top end rebuild...the first actually being the best...along with a new ecu

you are talking a fairly good bit of change so I would go ahead and spend a few more bucks and get a jdm motor

awesome...sound like ill go with an engine swap then...so wat is the difference between a regular vtec and a jdm vtec...or is there a difference. Im looking to spend a good chunk of change cuz i want to get a decent high powered engine for as little cost as possible...obviously. Plus what would be the approx. difference in cost?

Make sure when you swap to a gsr motor you also have to buy the same gsr tranny because your regular transmission will not work on the vtec motor. Stay away from buying jus the vtec head because your regular b18b1 block wont b able to withstand the vtec for long...I swapped a Type R eninge in my 95 integra gs and it only tokk me about 5-6 hours of labor to do so...Or you could turbo charge your stock engine which would b a lot easier but pending on how much boost you run you might get more hp with a gsr swap.

You could do a LS/Vtec. Thats a hell of a lot cheaper than buying a whole new motor.
