The car is ugly but has potential. Hopefully Honda isn't done designing it or hopefully that isn't the final or official design for the car and some things change. I think the front end of the car is okay but looks almost too Enzoish and the rear end is hidious it needs flattened out some its too round. Lol I see this being a future K20 project for Hasport or something like that.

Have you ever seen Brian Gillepsie's CRX? It's yellow and has a K24/K20 hybrid and supercharged (the hood has a hole cut in it to let the head poke out). I'd say this would be the next one of those.

I'm pretty sure I know the one your talking about. Doesn't he work for Hasport and wasn't the car a project for them at one time?

now lets not totally cut out the CR-Z. yes it's to be a new "sports" Hybrid car. Yes it's along the same lines as the CRX as it's a small 2 door car that is to be economical like the CRX was (nothing too impressive). Yet the CR-Z ties roots to the insight. The insight didn't fail because of what it was, it failed because at the time of the release no one took the Hybrid car seriously. Gas was pretty cheap, economy was going well, and the fear of global warming wasing being thrown in our faces ever single day. the the conditions been right the insight would have taken off and been a huge success.
The CR-Z's attempt (as i've read) is to appeal to not only hard core honda lovers, but also to the new generation of drivers that are looking to save money at the pump. As far as i know it is set for a US release date, but it hasn't been set yet. I personally can't wait I'd love to see what it has to offer and what the EPA rating is. |

that's just gay then. the CR-Z has no place being only a hybrid, especially if it's the "succeser" to the CRX. What they should do then is just bring the CRX back in all it's glory. Maybe a design update and K-series (maybe even B-series just to eep it somewhat original) in the top end model and WALA a sweet ass new CRX straight from the factory |

Gillespie is one of HASport's co-founders. To answer 93Si, the B-Series is dead. It's a K or nothing. Maybe the R18 for an HF model. If Honda was smart, they would offer the CR-Z with a K20A2 or Z3 as an Si. But they probably won't, and just try to resell the Insight. Big mistake, Honda keeps trying to say that it's a performance company, but with every Hybrid, boring sedan, and extra weight they keep heaping on their cars, all that talk is turning real cheap.

I hate to say it, but Honda is doing the right thing if you think from a marketing standpoint. Honda needs to keep pumping out econoboxes and grocery getters that are great on gas to be the company that they are. If their quality falters, they're done. If they alienate the MASS segment, then they're toast, and they can't put out anything else. They're an enthusiast company with certain models. Every car they make is streetable, but if it were all about performance, the automatic would no longer be an option....and soon after, neither would the manual because they'd be out of business. Ferarri is all about performance, and thats a good thing. They can charge a mint for their vehicles and we can't afford to have one. We can afford to have a Honda, because they sell so many of the darn things. If they were a "performance" minded company, we couldn't afford to own one.

I have to agree. Honda does have a reputaion to uphold, and I think thats what they are doing. It's high time to realize that the CRX is dead, it's not going to come back, not matter how many other cars they make, the CRX will still be dead. No sence in pouting or getting mad about it. it's just time to accept the fact that Gas is getting more and more expensive, people want cars that won't cost an arm and a leg to drive. Hybrids and then soon to be H2/hybrids are the wave of the future, I think honda is just trying to keep it real. Don't worry though, i'm sure there will be other "performance" minded cars to come out, just have to keep an ear to the ground.
